Mini Reviews // Awesome YA Romances With Gangs!

I have always been a sucker for 17 year olds in gangs. They’re always totally ridiculous but I can’t help but to devour them! These two book provided the feels and ridiculousness in spades!

Walk the Edge (Thunder Road #2) by Katie McGarry // I Eat This ShDirectIngest,it Up

I have no idea why I love these books so damn much, but hell I do! Walk the Edge is Razor’s story and I gotta say he may be more interesting a character then Oz, but the overall romance and book wasn’t as thrilling as Nowhere But Here! Breanna’s super brain, although may be a contemporary romance cliche was still incredible awesome to read! I would love to be a genius like her!

I loved the subplots in this book! Slut shaming and cyber bully were so infuriating to read but it is definitely a modern problem and YA needs to represent that! I love big families in books, but the way the Breanna’s family was represented is a extremely different take on the usual YA big family, Breanna is used and ostracized by her family, and anyone with siblings knows that no one can make you feel worse about yourself then a sibling. So sad and emotional to read!

Overall, super cute, really addictive (I finished it in one day), and I WANT THE NEXT ONE!

25022128Inferno (Blood for Blood #2) by Catherine Doyle // SO MUCH MORE THEN I WAS EXPECTING!

I was kinda expecting to have like a meh reaction to this book. I didn’t really enjoy the first Blood for Blood book, Vendetta, that much. I thought  it was cliche and the characters infuriating but Inferno pulls a complete 180 on this series and IT WAS AWESOME! I honestly couldn’t read this fast enough! I finished it in one night, and just decided to be like ‘fuck being a function and well rested for work tomorrow‘!

This book is just action from beginning to end! You know how with these sort of books there’s usually a really big fight scene right at the end? Well this book just decided to have really big fight scenes from like page 12 to page 400! It just didn’t stop and I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough!

If you read my Vendetta review, you’ll notice how I have not-so-thinly veiled contempt for Nic and I. Did. Not. Want Sophie to end up with him and just call me a magical psychic because I was right!!!! AND THE GUY SHE DOES END UP WITH IS EVERYTHING!!! Welcome, to the book boyfriend league Luca! You will make a beautiful Italian addition!

I don’t really know how I’m meant to wait an entire year for the next book but if I must I will! I’m so glad I gave this book a shot because I loved every second of it!

On an entirely unrelated note to these books! Hi everyone. I know long time no post! Should be the bloody subheading to my blog, I swear! I have made a pact with myself to finally catch up on the quarter of a billion blog posts I’m behind on. Like seriously, I have something like 20 book reviews to write… lucky me :/! I shall be pulling my socks up starting today! Cross my fingers!
