Feyre survived Amarantha’s clutches to return to the Spring Court–but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can’t forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms–and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future–and the future of a world cleaved in two.

GUYS HOW DO I WRITE WORDS???!!! HOW DO I FUNCTION??!! SEND HELP! I AM NOT OKAY! THIS BOOK HAS SHOT SO DAMN MUCH INTO MY LIFE I HAVE DIED AND BECOME A DIFFERENT PERSON. IT’S NEVER BEEN A SECRET SARAH J MAAS IS MY FAVOURITE AUTHOR BUT I THINK I MAY LOVE THE ACOTAR SERIES MORE THEN THE TOG SERIES!!! I NEVER THOUGHT THIS WOULD HAPPEN BUT I THINK IT HAS! OMG! HAALPP! THIS BOOK GETS ALL THE STARS EVER! ALL OF THEM!!! 12437621394581769348730837456 STARS!!!

MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS!!

I’m going to be honest. I just finished ACOMAF about 15 minutes ago so this review is probably going to be as about as comprehensive and a babbling baby because I don’t know how to human anymore. I’m calling it now this is the best book I will read for the entire year! TOG5 won’t even beat it! (unless there’s little Aelin and Rowan babies and then we’ll have to debate but unless that happens… BEST BOOK OF THE DAMN YEAR!)

Okay where to start……

SJM has a special talent for making me leave my book boyfriends, who I’ve committed whole hearted to, at the door when she brings in a better love interest and she’s done it again!!!! GUYS SHE PULLED A TOG3 ROWAN ON US AND BROUGHT IN A SEXIER, MORE PERFECT LOVE INTEREST!! I just reread ACOTAR like 4 days ago and after finishing it for some reason I had an inkling that this was going to happen, I didn’t really pick up on it the first time I read the book, but the second time had me like OMG IT’S GOING TO HAPPEN! And it totally did and it was PERFECT!!!! Now, I know some haters hate when SJM does this but I personally think it’s so right for her characters. She writes such strong heroines who grow and change over the course of their journey’s and our heroines need their love interests to grow with them, and when they don’t it becomes glaring obvious that these original love interest just aren’t right anymore. What happened at the end of ACOTAR changed both Feyre and Tamlin and the people they were after just did not mesh anymore.

I don’t want to ruin anything, cause I know a lot people wouldn’t have had a chance to read it yet, but trust me… Rhysand is beyond perfect, and completely made for Feyre. And I fucking dare you to try not to completely fall in love with their love.

I love groups in fantasy books which are tight enough to be family and the ‘family’ in ACOMAF literally was making my heart hurt with how they looked out for each other, bounced off each other, and were a perfect balance for each other. Mor, Cassian, Azriel and Amren gave this book just that little thing more it needed to be absolutely jaw droopingly brilliant. Everyone know SJM has an unquestionable talent to write amazing strong female characters and that wasn’t any different with the introduction of Mor and Amren. Their backgrounds and sass was #life I couldn’t get enough of either of them. Can we please get a spin off series where Azriel and Cassian like kick ass for 400 pages?? These two awesome fighters are Rhysand’s best friends and so fucking badass I have a crush on both of them. The dynamic between these four (plus Feyre and Rhysand) was the backbone of this book. Their love for one another, came off the pages so clearly you could see it straight away and I can’t wait to get more of it in the next book!

Feyre’s transformation in this book was FUCKING INCREDIBLE!! We see her battling PTSD and depression after everything that happened Under the Mountain at the end of the last book, and the way both of these disorders where portrayed was so realistic! It was beyond sad to read Feyre at her lowest points but that’s what made her slow climb up to happiness again so rewarding and important! I also loved reading her learning to use her powers! SUCH AWESOME DAMN POWERS! CAN I PLEASE BE A FAE! This book is a lot about Feyre finding who she is and where she fits into this new immortal world and it was such an emotional and thrilling journey!

This book was actually perfection! I’ve actually died and gone to book heaven! I don’t know how I’m going to survive another ENTIRE YEAR but I will if only because my need to know how this incredible series ends will be my reason for breathing! (PS 626 pages isn’t long enough I need the next book to be like 10,000 pages long.)

Now tell me! Have you read ACOMAF yet?? If not, are you planning on doing it soon??! **cough** You should! **cough** If you have PLEASE WE MUST TALK ABOUT IT!!! What do think of Rhysand? And of Tamlin now?! AND OMG THAT ENDING!? Are you all SJM fans like myself? Let me know below! 🙂

Add me on Goodreads 🙂

I have literally seen nothing but 5 star reviews for this, so I am so glad to hear you loved it too! I wasn’t the biggest fan of A Court of Thorns & Roses so I wasn’t planning on reading this originally, but seeing all the glowing reviews makes me want to reconsider that. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous review! ❤
