Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Series I’m Finally Going To Start In 2016

TTT is hosted as always by The Broke and The Bookish

This weeks topic is all about new years revolutions and considering I’ve already done a book and blog goals post, I thought I’d make a list of series I am totally planning on starting (if not finishing) this year!)

If everything goes to plan, I plan to read all 5 of these books this month!

Snow like Ashes by Sara Raasch – is currently the book I’m reading (so maybe this is cheating a little bit but) I have been wanting to read this book and start this series since before the first one came out!! I’m so excited to really get into this book!

Chaos Walking by Patrick Ness – This is lined up to be read probably within the next week! I’m a keen bean for this one! Everyone who read the Chaos Walking trilogy only has amazing things to say about it! I am so down to become a fangirl of this series!

The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey – THE MOVIES COMING OUT IN LIKE A WEEK AND I STILL DON’T EVEN OWN A COPY OF THIS BOOK!!!!! I’m thinking I’m going to have to get the ebook and then just buy the hardbacks later if I want to have this devoured before I go see the movie!

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi – This is one of those books that you say you’re going to read for like ever but never actually get to! But I’m getting to it now! It’s happening!!!!

Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare – It’s not that I’m anti Cassandra Clare, it’s just that I never really got the appeal of the Mortal Instruments series. But people have told me constantly thatΒ the Infernal Devices series is actually the best thing ever. So I’m totally going to read it!!

Bloodlines by Richelle Mead – A million years ago I used to be the biggest fangirl ever of Vampire Academy but when Bloodlines was released I wasn’t to interested because Rose and Dimitri weren’t going to be in it! BUT I have always been hugely curious about this series, and Adrian was always one of my favourite characters (I hard core shipped him and Rose for a while). I really want to finally read this series this year!

The Queen of The Tearling by Erica Johansen – This is apparently some amazing fantasy series that everyone who reads it dies over and dammit I want to die over it as well!!!

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir – This book blew up hugely last year (it’s weird to call like 6 days ago last year) and I feel like the last person to have not read it! I’ll probably read it right before the sequel comes outs so everythings fresh!

Β Firebird by Claudia Gray – I don’t actually know to much about this series expect for the fact that everyone loves it and it has amazing covers! Β WHICH IS ENOUGH FOR ME!

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon – Another series I know nothing about expect that I’ve never seen a negative review. I love going into a book completely blind! I’m down!

That’s it for me this week! What is your 2016 resolutions??! Have you read any of the series I mentioned? Let me know πŸ™‚

  1. Shatter Me and The Infernal Devices are really good! I’ll be rereading Shatter Me and Uravel Me so I can read Ignite Me. I’ve heard great things about The Knife of Never Letting Go that now I want to read it too! You have some books that seems really great. I hope you enjoy them! πŸ˜€

  2. Yay Shatter Me! I love that series so much. My one word of advice – I think the novella between books one and two is a Must Read before you start book two! I also liked Bloodlines overall more than Vampire Academy. I like Sydney soooo much more than I ever did Rose and, of course, Adrian!

  3. If you don’t read Bloodlines I will haunt you in your sleep πŸ˜› Personally, I like Sydney better as a protaganist than Rose because she’s just so resourceful. Also, Sydrian. I hope you like the series πŸ˜€ I basically need to read like half this list… just put all of them on my 2016 to read list!
