So this is my first post of 2016! Hello 2016! I already know you’re going to be an amazing year!
Yes I know it’s the third of December and this recap post is now late – I’m just in that kind of mood lately! WHY?! All through December it was a struggle to make myself pick up a book or sit down and write a blog post! But new year, so NO MORE SLACKING!
December is the month of holidays though, and here in Australia we’re it’s summer, I gotta say it’s my favourite time of the year! I had an AMAZING Christmas! I got bookishly spoilt (you can see here) and ATE SO MUCH FOOD! (YASSSS!!) New Year’s Eve was actually so much fun! Usually I get pretty disappointed with NYE because we build it up so much in our heads but this year it was a blast! (I was going to write this post on New Years Day but I was not in a functioning mood LOL!) I’ve also been spending a lot of time at the beach, it’s been glorious!
Also at the start of December me and my sister’s went and saw Sam Smith!! I have an endless love for Sam and his music and it was everything I’d hoped it to be! We got to the venue HOURS early so that we’d be one of the first in and get to stand up the front (which totally paid of btw) and Sam went out and said hey to us all, since we were waiting all day! I WAS LESS THAN A METRE AWAY FROM HIM! It may be the Best Day Ever!
Now for the 2 books I read this month!
THAT’S RIGHT!! ONLY 2! WTF! Told you this month was not for me!
Six of Crows (Six of Crows #1) by Leigh Bardugo – WAS INCREDIBLE!! IT GOT ALL THE STARS!
The Violinist of Venice: A Story of Vivaldi by Alyssa Palombo – Was such a different book from the usual stuff I read! I really enjoyed it!
Also my The Broke and The Bookish Secret Santa just got here!!!
I want to give a big THANK YOU to Angel @Angel Reads her present was more then generous! I’d never come across her blog before but now that I’ve checked it out I gotta say I’m going to be a massive fan! Everyone should go over there and give her some love ❤
Everything came all wrapped up (which is super exciting because then I get to open up like 6 gifts!!) But it was once I opened everything that I got truly excited!
LOOK AT ALL MY BEAUTIFUL GIFTS!!
Angel spoilt me! I got The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon (WHICH I HAVE BEEN DYING TO READ), Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ranson Rigs (WHICH I HAVE ALSO BE DYING TO READ), an Animal Kingdom colouring book (!!!), A beautiful christmas tree decoration, some bookmarks, and maybe the most amazing thing ever… HOME. MADE. CHOCOLATE (I didn’t know this was a thing people actually did, but I am currently devouring Angel’s home made chocolate bark and loving it!! )
THANK YOU AGAIN ANGEL! 😀 ❤
