I Can Show You The World – Around The World In YA Book Tag

Can we all please bust out in Aladdin right now?? Cause this book tag is perfect for a bit of Aladdin!!!

Thank you so much to Raven at Dreamy Addictions for tagging me to do this post! If you don’t already follow her you should definitely go rectify that problem right now!! Plus her blog layout is wicked cool!

So the idea behind the Around The World In YA book tag is simple enough; list some countries then a favourite book set in that country!

Do you guys have the Compare the Market Meerkat??? Or is that an Australian thing only???

But NO NOT SIMPLE!! Because all the books I read are either set in America or in some fantasy land I can only wish is a real place I could travel to!

I could just do a montage of all the book set in America but then I’d be here all day! I think the most recent book I read set in America is Simon (which is fantastic btw). And I’ve add Angelfall causes it’s set in San Francisco , and of the tiny corner of America I’ve been to San Fran was the best!!

Guys, have you read Reawakened??? ITS AMAZING! And it also happens to have an amazing atmosphere. Houck does a really great job of describing Egypt!

A Darker Shade final for Irene 13753712

This is another country I have multiple answers for but I’ve recently read Me Before You (again AMAZING). A Darker Shade of Magic counts right??? Multiple parallel London’s YES!

I have never been to Scotland but I honestly feel like I can accurately picture it because of Diana Gabaldon!

Now friends, this is what desperation looks like when I’m scoring goodreads trying to find a book I’ve read not set in America. Did you guys ever read the How to Ruin a Summer Vacation series?? If I’m remember correctly it’s actually really really good! I may have to see about rereading it!

I nominate everyone! (mostly because I’m lazy!) But seriously! If you want to do the tag DO IT!!

  1. No, I’ve never heard of the compare the market meerkat. You have introduced me. Until a few years ago I thought the reason most of the books I read were set in the US was because I lived here and therefore most of the books marketed were set here. It wasn’t until I started reading more book related blog posts/watching book related videos I realized this was not the case. Still, this seems like a fun tag!
