My Dream Book to Screen Adaptions!!!

book to screen

Sony, Lions Gate, Summit, Paramount, 20th Century Fox, Showtime – Need any new book to adapt CHOOSE FROM THIS LIST!!!

Books I want to see as movies and TV is something I always think about! I love all the YA adaptions from the last couple of years, but it never seems to be books I want them to. This list honestly just became my favourite books/series (mostly from this year) that I’d die of happiness if they adapted. I would never turn off Netflix.

The Darkest Minds trilogy by Alexandra Bracken

CAN YOU IMAGINE THE DARKEST MINDS AS MOVIES!!!!!!!! I’d die of happiness! DIE! I can series visualise The Darkest Minds books as movies since movie studios love to adapt dystopia trilogies, evidenced by Hunger Games, Divergent, Maze Runner & soon to be The 5th Wave – The Darkest Minds would fit right in!! Especially now that Hunger Games and Divergent are both finishing soon! Ruby, Liam, Chubs, Zu, Vida, Cole and Jude would be amazing on the big screen! Plus the novellas in the Darkest Minds series would give the movies second storylines!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

THIS WOULD BE THE CUTEST ROM-COM EVER!!! C’mon as if, any female wouldn’t be lining up to see this movie! The adorableness level would be through the roof! I’m not sure how they would do the fanfiction parts though?? Maybe that would have to be cut? Cath would still be a fanfiction writer but we just wouldn’t get any of the excerpts – or made voice over? I don’t know! All I know is that I am totally down to see it as a movie! Actually I’m down to see ever Rainbow book as a movie! She can be the YA Nicolas Sparks!

Every Day by David Levithan

HOW AWESOME WOULD THIS BOOK BE AS A MOVIE!! WHERE THERE’D BE NO ONE MAIN ACTOR AS THE PROTAGONIST WOULD CHANGE CONSISTENTLY! I would be first in line to see this book! It’d be marketed as a tutored romance novel, but really viewers would leave with a totally open prospective on everyone’s unique differences!

– and I’m talking Outlander quality adaption, not Vampire Dairies!

the others

The Others series by Anne Bishop

I would DIE if they made The Others series into a TV series! Weekly 55 minutes instalments (cause it’s on Showtime in my dream duh) of awesomeness!! Meg and Simon and the world ahhh amazingness!!! And like it’d take 3-4 season’s before Meg and Simon finally got together and Tumblr would be shipping them hardcore – it’d trend ever week! Now that I’ve got thinking about this I want this to happen so bad!! Let’s start a kickstart campaign!

lunar 4

The Lunar Chronicles series by Marissa Meyer

So although I’ve only read Cinder and am currently reading Scarlet (chill I plan to read the rest of the series super soon) I would LOVE to see it turned into a TV series! It’d have to be a TV and not a movie, because it’d be easier to intertwine all the separate storylines in a TV then in movies. I wouldn’t miss an episode!

tog se

The Throne of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas

I was tossing up whether I actually want to see this adapted, and not because I wouldn’t LOVE THAT! But because I honestly can’t imagine a world where they do these books justice on the screen. A TV show of this series would never live up to the books but it’s be 10million times better than this series as a movie series! It could be marketed as the YA Game of Thrones

About Amy

I'm an 20 year old uni student who majors in procrastinating. It's wonderful really - many a great read was read because of it.

Oh, I definitely think they are getting together in Marked in Flesh! I agree, it’s funny that not a lot of people talk about this series. I discovered it two years ago on a 12 hour plane ride. I finished the first book before we landed!

  1. Love this post! 🙂
I would love to see Fangirl as a movie. I think I read somewhere where Eleanor & Park is going to be a movie.
I’m sure all the others would make awesome movies too, I just need to read all the books! LOL.
