Top Ten Tuesday: Ten Series I Have Yet To Finish

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and The Bookish 🙂

I read mostly series instead of stand alone I think this year I’ll read something like 64 of books but only 15ish of those books were standalones – so yeah the majority of books I read are series installments which means I have a lot of unfinished series!

Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima

I brought the box set last month, I’ve read the two book, and I AM HOOKED!

The Grisha trilogy by Leigh Bardugo

I didn’t really like the ending of Siege and Storm so I wasn’t like overly eager to run out and read Ruin and Rising straight away, but I totally plan to!

pivot point

Pivot Point duology by Kasie West

I loved Pivot Point and want to get to Split Second as soon as possible.

Anna and the French Kiss trilogy by Stephanie Perkins

I’ve only read Anna and the French Kiss but I will eventually get around to reading the other two – there such cute contemporaries!

everyday duology

Every Day duology by David Levithan

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED Every Day, but I loved it so much as a standalone, I’m not sure if I want to read the companion novel, Another Day and it taint the amazingness of Every Day.

Black Dagger Brotherhood series by J.R. Ward

I used to read every new release in this series, but it’s been a while and now I have such little memory of how the series went, that I’d have to reread the whole series and there are just SOOO many books I’m sure!  It’s such a commitment! ^^^ That’s not even all the books in the series the 14th and last comes out next year.

The Dragonian series by Adrienna Woods

I’m not sure if I really want to finish this series but I only have the last one in the series to go, so I don’t see why I wont finish it!

Stage Dive series by Kylie Scott

I read the first one, liked it, read the sequel HATED it and now I have no interest in finishing the rest of the series.

janice hardy healing wars 3 pack

Healing Wars trilogy by Janice Hardy

It’s not that I hated the first book, it just didn’t really entertain me so I’m probably never going to finish this trilogy. The covers are pretty though haha!

The School for Good and Evil trilogy by Soman Chainani

I disliked the first book sooooo much! There were so many things about it I just did not like. I never want to finish this series.

Benedicts series by Joss Stirling

It just baffles me to no end how people like these books???????? I read the first one and I have no plans what’s so ever to read the rest.

That’s it for this weeks TTT. What series have you yet to finish?? Feel free to leave your link in the comments and I’ll be sure to check it out!! 🙂

  1. I just read Another Day over the weekend, and thought it was really good! I’m glad I didn’t read it right after Every Day, though. With a year in between, it really felt like it was just adding to the story instead of changing it in any way for me. I don’t know if I’d consider the Stephanie Perkins books a series, really — they’re connected, but each really stands alone, so I think you could pick up any one at any time and enjoy it for itself. I like how you organized your list! I definitely have some series that I never, ever want to bother with again!

  2. Seven Realms Series is already in my Binge reading list So I might binge read it around this year. Grisha Trilogy is a great trilogy I hope you finish it soon. I’m so excited to read Moonbreeze! I’ve heard it wasn’t the last one in the series cause there’s still one more book left. Black Dagger Brotherhood is one of my unfinished series too. I hope you finish them all! Great list! 😀

      1. Actually I’m going to binge read Soul Eaters trilogy by Eliza Crewe this month so I might get to Seven Realms series on next month. I’ve heard that the last book in dragonian series is too large so they split it into two parts. I think it’s best if you re-read the BDB from the start. There’s totally 13 books published till now right? LOL! It’s gonna take a lot of time for you to complete this series. Anyways, Happy Reading! 😀

Impressive list!! I couldn’t agree more about the Kylie Scott series. I didn’t even really like the first book, so I gave up. I really hope you get to read Isla! I loved Anna, Lola was just ok, but Isla was definitely my fav!

BDB is SUCH a commitment, I totally agree. I’ve only read the first book, and I’d love to keep going but ugh. I’m the opposite of you when it comes to reading series – I read more stand alones because the commitment to reading a series intimidates me all the time.
